Clinical career
He graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2008 and subsequently moved to the United Kingdom, where he completed specialist training in cardiology and subspecialist training in interventional electrophysiology and cardiac devices.
In 2021, he obtained his CCT in Cardiology through the formal Wessex Deanery training programme, training at the university hospitals in Southampton, Portsmouth and Dorset.
After his CCT, he undertook a Post-CCT Fellowship at the internationally recognised Bristol Heart Institute, with a high volume of procedures involving ablation of supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter, as well as cardiac device implantation and extraction.
His experience covers modern mapping systems and ablation technologies, including CARTO, EnSite, RHYTHMIA, cryoablation and PFA.
Research and education
Alongside his clinical work, he has participated in clinical studies, published in international cardiology and electrophysiology journals, and organised teaching seminars for cardiology trainees. He completed the postgraduate module “Teaching and Learning in Medical Education” at University College London.
